So You Think You Have Written the Next Great American Novel?
Publishing is not a whimsical or cavalier undertaking. Even after navigating the reefs and rocks of publishing, promoting a title is not a simple matter. For potential authors serious about their work we have strict guidelines with regard to submissions, the first of which is your familiarity with our requirements and the second of which is a letter of inquiry via E-mail or U.S. Mail (snail mail). We do review unagented work but unsolicited submissions are disposed of without even being considered.

If you are unaware that publishers require an adherence to advertised guidelines, unfamiliar with terms such as "solicited" and "unsolicited submissions" or are uninformed about the publishing industry, we direct your attention to our e-booklet addressing these and related issues, GETTING PUBLISHED: WHAT YOU WANT, NEED & SHOULD KNOW.

We also recommend the Writer's Market by Writer's Digest Books.

As a small, independent publisher competing in a global market, we face as great a challenge as aspiring authors. Thus your being informed of the information contained in the above-mentioned referenced guides is critical to the potential author/publisher relationship (be it with us or any publisher).

If, on the other hand, you are well-acquainted with these "terms of art" and realize the daunting task ahead, you are invited to visit our SUBMISSIONS page to determine if we are currently accepting submissions and the guidelines regarding same.

Thank you and enjoy your visit
We hope your visit to our website is an enjoyable experience. From all of us here at The Lighthouse Press, Inc. and our authors nationwide, thank you for your on-line patronage and interest in our books. Feel free to drop us a line if you have any questions whatsoever.
