Synopsis
Charley Grant, boomer, is a broken man. Booted
from his cushy CEO job because of insider
trading, he serves 18 months at a federal garden
spot called Allentown Penitentiary. After
release, he discovers that the world isn't quite
ready to extend a welcome to former CEOs turned
ex-cons.
Enter
one elderly chairman of a large conglomerate. The
chairman throws Charley a bone--hires him to
clear the company's good name after one of it's
executives is arrested for distributing snuff
films. All well and good except for the executive
who's luck is worse than Charley's. He turns up
dead from a highly suspicious accident. Charley
soon finds himself up to his neck in a vicious
racket that traces its origins to a series of
particularly brutal killings fifty years ago.
From
the beaches of Rhode Island to the maquiladora of
Tijuana, Mexico, Charley has to fight off the
cops, Mexican gangsters, and a powerful
international cartel. He has dared to expose the
voracious greed of executives in one of America's
most preeminent corporations--executives who do
not hesitate to destroy anybody or anything
standing in their way.
